Treadle

Terms of use

Last updated September 2026

These terms cover buying and using Treadle. Please read them; they’re short and plain on purpose.

Who provides Treadle

Treadle is made and sold by NJ Development, a business registered in Canada. Legal entity: [full registered entity name]. Address: [business address]. GST/HST registration: [HST registration number].

Your licence

When you buy Treadle you get a personal, non-exclusive licence to use it on the Macs and iPads you own. You may not resell it, share your licence key, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly allows.

The one-time purchase includes two years of updates from your purchase date. After that, your version keeps working; new updates need a renewal. The lifetime option includes updates for as long as Treadle is offered.

Payment

Purchases are processed by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record and handles billing and tax. Your purchase is also subject to their terms, shown at checkout.

Refunds

You can request a refund within 30 days. See refunds for how.

No warranty

Treadle is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will fit every setup.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Treadle is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the last change; continuing to use Treadle after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [province], Canada.
